Solid matcha of choice for lattes. Full-bodied and bold enough to cut through the flavors of the milk, with pleasant bitterness, slight roasted notes, and minimal astringency. Whisks really well too! I’ve tried my fair share of matcha, esp. from prominent Japanese tea houses (Ippodo, Marukyu, Nakamura, Kanbayashi, Yamamasa). Let me tell you that Sadou’s offerings really hold their own against these premium matchas, especially considering their price point.
