Umur pemakaian membran RO bisa 2-5 tahun dengan kondisi rendah Fe, Mn dan Ca air baku TDS nya < 200 ppm. Cara Menghitung efisiensi RO Contoh : air baku 190 ppm 2. TDS produk air RO sisi output RO (sebelum Post Carbon) = 12 ppm 3. Hitung Efisiensi RO adalah =(190ppm-12ppm)/190ppm= 178 ppm/190 ppm= 93,68%. Air RO yang diambil sebagai sample produk RO adalah sebelum Post Carbon dan mesin RO beroperasi kontinyu setidaknya 5-10 menit. Penggantian membran RO dilakukan idealnya bila efisiensinya telah di bawah 80%.
