For komorebi :
I know “Ceremonial” grade is just a marketing terms and not regulated terms or formal grade in matcha. But it’s just a crime to say that this is “First harvest ceremonial grade matcha powder” when the quality of this matcha this bad, i think this matcha is mostly used 3rd and 2nd harvest and only a little of 1st harvest. Yeah i know it’s cheap but come on the marketing needs to chill a bit. This is more like culinary grade and not very enjoyable when you drink it even with milk and sugar. I give them credit for the transparency labeling, although the year of the harvest/vintage need to be mentioned as well.
For kana :
This matcha is sooo much batter than komorebi, you can just see it from the color of the matcha itself, and the taste is far better. The umami wasn’t very strong but astringency and bitterness is not that noticeable when you make a latte with it.
With this price I think it’s a decent matcha, and could be good for a latte and maybe a clear matcha tea. make sure you bought the 100g one because it’s much cheaper when you calculate it per gram.
